Amir Jangoo started his List A career playing for the West Indies Under-19s on January 16, 2015, in the 2014–15 Regional Super50 tournament. He made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago on April 7, 2017, during the 2016–17 Regional Four-Day Competition.
In July 2020, he joined the Trinbago Knight Riders squad for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He played his first T20 match for the team on September 2, 2020, in the CPL.
