Career Journey Of Brandon Crawford
He was named his team’s MVP in 2006 and 2007 and made the All-Pac-10 Conference team in 2007. Before going to UCLA, he played for the Mankato MoonDogs in the Northwoods League in 2005.
He also helped the U.S. national team win the 2006 International University Sports Federation (FISU) World Championship. The San Francisco Giants picked Brandon Crawford in the fourth round of the 2008 MLB draft, 117th overall, and he signed for a $375,000 bonus.
He began his first full season as a pro with the High-A San Jose Giants in 2009. He made his MLB debut in 2011. He became the sixth player in MLB history to hit a grand slam in his first game and the first shortstop to hit one in a postseason game.
