Jyoti Radheshyam Gaderiya is an Indian para cyclist from Maharashtra who qualified to compete in the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris. She races in the women’s elite C2 category. On August 29, 2024, at the Paralympics, she finished 10th in the Women’s 3000 m individual pursuit C1-3 with a time of 4:53.929 and also placed 15th in another event.

At the Paris Paralympics 2024, Arshad Shaik and Jyoti Gaderiya did not manage to secure podium finishes in their events. Arshad finished 30th in the men’s C1-3 road race with a time of 26:15 seconds, while Jyoti finished 15th in the women’s C1-3 road race with a time of 33:45 seconds.
As a result, the para-cycling team did not contribute to India’s total of 27 medals at the Games.
Earlier this year, Gaderiya made history by breaking into the top 5 of the latest track para rankings. She secured the second spot in the Women’s Elite C2 category. Her achievement was a milestone for India, as it marked the country’s first-ever cycling qualification for the Paralympic Games.
Gaderiya also competed at the Asian Para Games in 2023 but did not win a medal. Now, at 26 years old, she is looking forward to performing better at the upcoming Paralympics in Paris.

Gaderiya showed her athletic ability by competing in the 2019 Asian Rowing Championships. She then switched to cycling and joined the Aditya Mehta Foundation in Hyderabad in 2022. At the 2024 Asian Track Championships in New Delhi, she won three gold medals in the women’s para-cycling events.
