Cricketing Journey Of Sarfaraz 

He gained attention when he broke Sachin Tendulkar’s Harris Shield record from 1988 by scoring 439 runs off 421 balls. This impressive feat happened in his first Harris Shield match in 2009 when he was only 12 years old.

Sarfaraz represented India in two Under-19 World Cups in 2014 and 2016. He began his Ranji Trophy career with Mumbai in 2014, playing against Bengal. From the 2015-2016 season, he started playing for Uttar Pradesh. In the 2022 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Sarfaraz took on a new role as an occasional wicket-keeper.

International Career

IPL Career

After performing well in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, Sarfaraz was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2015 for 5 million. At just 17 years old, he became the youngest player to ever play in an IPL match.

In February 2022, Sarfaraz was purchased by the Delhi Capitals during the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League.

He played four matches in total—his first as a wicket-keeper batsman and the others as a middle-order batsman. There has been some talk about him being a potential future batsman for Team India.
