She began her career in regional theater and films. She also worked as a radio jockey. In Punjabi cinema, she acted in films like Ik Kudi Punjab Di, Raula Pai Gaya, and Munde Patiala De. In late 2012, Surbhi Jyoti was cast in the TV show Qubool Hai on Zee TV, produced by 4 Lions Films.
