Carrer Journey Of Vantika Agrawal

As a child, Vantika Agrawal enjoyed playing many sports like cricket, tennis, karate, skating, and badminton, but her favorite was chess. She started learning chess when she was seven and a half years old, playing at school and with her brother, who taught her the basics.

In 2011, Vantika competed in the U-9 Girls Asian Schools Chess Championship. In 2016, Vantika Agrawal won a bronze medal in the World Youth Chess Championship in the U-14 girls’ category.

In 2017, she earned her Woman International Master (WIM) norms by performing well at the IIFL Mumbai Open and the Sharjah Open tournaments. In 2019, she won a silver medal at the Western Asian Junior Chess Championship.

In 2020, Vantika Agrawal and the Indian team won the FIDE Online Chess Olympiad. In 2021, she won a silver medal at the Indian Junior Girls Online Chess Championship and a gold medal at the Indian Junior Senior Women Chess Championship.

She also won the FIDE Binance Business Schools Supercup and finished 14th in the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss Tournament in Riga. She earned the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in the same year.
