Political Journey Of Chitra Sarwara
Chitra Sarwara worked at Tesseract Design in Bangalore and later joined Idiom Design and Consulting, also in Bangalore. After moving to Delhi, she worked as an independent design consultant and eventually became the Design Head of Idiom Design and Consulting’s Delhi office.
In 2013, Chitra Sarwara was elected as an independent municipal corporator from Ambala Cantt, which had just become a municipal corporation.
In March 2015, she joined the Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee as a State Coordinator for Observers and Co-observers of the Rohtak-Karnal Division.
She also served as a spokesperson under the leadership of State President Sumitra Chauhan. In March 2018, Chitra Sarwara became the Secretary of the All India Mahila Congress.
In December 2019, she was appointed as the National Treasurer of the Haryana Democratic Front. By October 2020, she was promoted to National General Secretary and Office charge of the Haryana Democratic Front.
On June 23, 2022, she was made in charge of the Aam Aadmi Party’s North Zone in Haryana. In April 2023, she became the State Vice President of the Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana. Then, on January 5, 2024, she rejoined the Indian National Congress.
