Cricket Career Of Marnus Labuschagne 

Labuschagne is a right-handed batsman who played for Queensland at various age levels, including under-12, under-15, under-17, and under-19, and even captained the team at the 2012–13 National Championships.

He also plays for Easts-Redlands District Cricket Club in Brisbane Grade Cricket. After just one appearance for Queensland Academy, Labuschagne made his debut in first-class cricket during the first round of the 2014–15 Sheffield Shield season, playing against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

Labuschagne made his debut in List A cricket for Queensland in the 2015 One-Day Cup in October.  The following month, he scored his first-ever first-class century, making 112 runs in his eighth Sheffield Shield match.

In April 2019, Labuschagne joined Glamorgan County Cricket Club to play in the 2019 English cricket season.

International Career

In September 2018, Marnus Labuschagne was selected for Australia’s Test squad for their series against Pakistan. He made his Test debut on October 7, 2018, against Pakistan. Later, in December 2018, he was named in Australia’s One Day International squad for their tour of India in 2019.

Unexpectedly, he was also added to the Australian Test squad at the same time. Labuschagne was included in Australia’s squad for the 2019 Ashes series in England.

By the end of 2019, he was the top run-scorer in Test cricket for the year, having scored 975 of his total 1,104 Test runs that year, including a key performance as a concussion substitute in August.

In December 2019, Marnus Labuschagne was selected for Australia’s ODI squad for their 2020 tour of India, and he made his ODI debut on January 14. In April 2020, Cricket Australia gave him a central contract for the 2020–21 season.

In February 2022, he was named in Australia’s T20I squad for a one-off match against Pakistan, and he made his T20I debut on April 5, 2022, in that game.

Labuschagne was named in the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year in 2019, 2021, and 2022. He also won the Shane Warne Men’s Test Player of the Year award in 2020 and was named the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year in 2019.
