Cricketing Journey Of Mitchell Santner
Santner made his first-class debut from November 20 to 23, 2011, in a match between Otago and Northern Districts in Dunedin.
After Daniel Vettori retired following the 2015 World Cup, Santner was included in the one-day squad for New Zealand’s tour of England as the team looked for another left-arm spin bowler.
Santner made his One Day International (ODI) debut at Edgbaston after playing only 19 List A matches for Northern Districts. In November 2020, he captained New Zealand for the first time in an international match, leading the team in the third Twenty20 International (T20I) against the West Indies.
