Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy, commonly known as Jagan, is an Indian politician. He is currently the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Pulivendula constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Business Career Of Jagan Mohan Reddy
In 2001, Reddy bought Sandur Power Company Limited (SPCL), which was not in operation at the time, from its original owner, M.B. Ghorpade. SPCL later invested a large amount of money in other companies and was able to acquire more businesses.
His wife, Y. S. Bharathi leads the company. However, Reddy sold his shares in SPCL and stepped back from his business activities as he became more involved in politics.
Political Career Of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
Reddy’s father, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, commonly known as YSR, was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh twice, serving from 2004 to 2009. He began his political career by campaigning for the Indian National Congress during the 2004 elections in the Kadapa district.
In 2009, he was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won 67 seats, and Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Leader of the Opposition.
Five years later, in the 2019 elections, he led his party to a huge victory, winning 151 out of 175 seats in the assembly. However, in the 2024 elections, his party faced significant backlash and lost many supporters, dropping to just 11 seats from the previous 151.
